LIMITED WARRANTY FOR HVAC & MECHANICAL SYSTEM INSTALLATIONS
Apex Heating & Cooling Ltd.
1. WARRANTY COVERAGE
Apex Heating & Cooling Ltd. ("Apex") provides the following limited warranty for HVAC and mechanical syste
installed by our certified technicians. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Mini-split heat pumps
- Central ducted heat pump systems
- Heat pump water heaters
- Traditional gas or electric hot water tanks
- Other heating and cooling equipment installed in residential or light commercial applications
- Manufacturer's Warranty: Coverage for compressor and parts is provided as per the original equipment
manufacturer's (OEM) warranty. Customers must register their unit with the manufacturer to receive full
benefits.
- Labor Warranty: Apex provides a 1-year labor warranty from the date of installation, covering defects in
workmanship related to system installation.
2. WARRANTY CONDITIONS
This warranty applies only if the system:
- Was installed by Apex Heating & Cooling Ltd. or an authorized contractor.
- Was maintained in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, including regular filter cleaning and annual
servicing.
- Has not been altered, modified, or repaired by unauthorized personnel.
- Was used under normal residential or light commercial conditions.
3. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage due to improper use, lack of maintenance, or unauthorized modifications.
- Failures due to power surges, weather conditions, or acts of nature (e.g., flooding, lightning).
- Refrigerant leaks after the first 60 days of operation unless covered by the manufacturer.
- Consumable items such as filters, drain lines, or remote control batteries.
- Any damage arising from failure to follow manufacturer-recommended servicing.
4. CLAIM PROCESS
To file a warranty claim, customers must:
1. Contact Apex Heating & Cooling Ltd. via phone or email with the unit's model number, serial number,
and installation date.
2. Provide proof of purchase and manufacturer warranty registration (if applicable).
3. Allow Apex to inspect the unit before any repairs are performed.If a claim is approved, Apex will repair or replace the defective part in accordance with the terms above.
Labor outside the warranty period will be billed at standard service rates.
5. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Apex Heating & Cooling Ltd. is not responsible for:
- Consequential damages such as loss of heating/cooling, property damage, or additional utility costs.
- Manufacturer warranty claims, which are subject to the manufacturer's policies.
6. LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION
Apex Heating & Cooling Ltd. operates under CleanBC rebate programs and employs a Red Seal
certified refrigeration mechanic and electrician for all installations requiring certification. Customers seeking
CleanBC rebates must ensure their installation follows rebate program guidelines.
